Uzbekistan Airways Expands Flights to Pakistan, Cutting Travel Time to Just Two Hours
Nov 4, 2025
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad has announced an expansion of Uzbekistan Airways’ flight operations to Pakistan, a move aimed at boosting air connectivity and making travel between Islamabad and Tashkent faster and more convenient.
According to embassy officials, the introduction of direct flights has eliminated the need for long layovers — such as those in Dubai — reducing total travel time to just two hours and significantly lowering costs for passengers.
Uzbekistan Airways, the national carrier of Uzbekistan, has now doubled its flight frequency to Pakistan, operating four weekly flights:
-
Tashkent–Islamabad–Tashkent every Tuesday and Saturday
-
Tashkent–Lahore–Tashkent every Wednesday and Friday
Airline representatives noted that the decision to expand services was driven by high passenger demand, as Islamabad-bound flights have been running at full capacity with tickets often selling out days in advance.
The new schedule offers a fast and affordable link for business, education, and leisure travelers, with one-way fares starting from $200 and round-trip tickets priced around $400. The same rates apply to the Lahore–Tashkent route.
