HEC Announces Fully Funded PhD Scholarships for Top U.S. Universities

Higher Education Commission Pakistan (HEC) has opened applications for fully funded PhD scholarships under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, offering Pakistani students an opportunity to study at leading universities in the United States.

The program aims to support higher education and research development by enabling students to gain international academic exposure.


Scholarships for Top-Ranked Universities

According to HEC, the scholarships are available for admission to U.S. universities ranked among the top 100 in the QS World University Rankings.

  • Students admitted to top 50 universities will receive full financial support, including tuition fees, stipend, and health insurance.
  • Candidates securing admission in universities ranked 51–100 will be provided up to $12,000 per year in tuition support, along with stipend and health insurance.

Focus on Research and Academic Growth

The initiative is part of efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s research capacity and improve higher education standards.

By studying at globally recognized institutions, scholars are expected to bring back advanced knowledge and skills to contribute to academic and professional sectors in Pakistan.


Application Process and Deadline

Applicants can submit their forms through the official HEC scholarship portal.

The deadline to apply for the program is April 30, 2026.

The US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project is designed to enhance collaboration between Pakistani and international universities, creating more opportunities for students and researchers to pursue advanced education abroad.
