Ticket Applications Open as 500-Day Countdown Begins for Rugby World Cup 2027
With 500 days remaining until the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 kicks off in Australia, officials have launched the official ticket application phase following strong early demand from fans worldwide.
According to organizers, more than 750,000 tickets were already sold during the presale phase, with applications received from fans in 135 countries.
The new application window opened at 15:00 AEST on May 19, 2026, and will remain open until June 2, 2026. Fans can apply at any time during this period, with all applications treated equally regardless of submission time.
Tickets are available for all 52 matches, including pool games, knockout stages, and the final. Prices start from AUD $40 for adults and AUD $20 for children, as part of efforts to keep the tournament accessible to a wide audience.
If demand exceeds available tickets, a ballot system will be used to allocate seats fairly. Applicants may also choose alternative price categories to improve their chances of selection.
Following the application period, successful applicants will be notified by email starting June 23, 2026, and payments will only be processed if tickets are allocated.
The 2027 tournament will feature an expanded 24-team format, making it the largest Men’s Rugby World Cup in history, with matches scheduled across Australia.
Organizers say the milestone reflects growing global excitement and aims to give fans an equal opportunity to be part of one of rugby’s biggest international events.
