Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced that Karachi’s Azeempura Flyover will be opened for traffic on June 15 as part of ongoing efforts to improve the city’s transport infrastructure.

The announcement came during the chief minister’s inspection visit to several major development projects in Karachi, including the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor, Azeempura Flyover, and Shahrah-e-Bhutto.

During the visit, Murad Ali Shah instructed officials to complete all remaining construction work according to schedule while maintaining quality standards and reducing inconvenience for commuters.

Officials briefed the chief minister on the progress of the Red Line BRT project, where he expressed satisfaction over the pace of work. Authorities were also directed to complete the related flyover and make it operational by June 15.

According to project officials, the Azeempura Flyover is expected to improve traffic movement between Azeempura, Malir Halt, and the Korangi Road corridor.

The project is also expected to help reduce congestion on Shahrah-e-Faisal and nearby roads, which are among the busiest traffic routes in Karachi.

During the inspection tour, the chief minister also visited the newly inaugurated Shahrah-e-Bhutto corridor and reviewed traffic management and security arrangements in the area.
