AIOU Announces Admissions for Fall 2026 Semester
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the admission schedule for its Fall (Autumn) 2026 semester, with applications opening nationwide from July 1.
The university confirmed that admissions will be available for a wide range of academic programs, from Matriculation to PhD level, across Pakistan as well as in selected international regions.
Nationwide and International Admissions
According to AIOU, the admission process will begin simultaneously across all provinces, including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northern regions.
The institution also stated that overseas Pakistanis and international students will be able to apply for various academic programs.
Online Application Process
Officials said that admission forms and prospectuses will be available online starting July 1, allowing students to apply from home without visiting university campuses.
This step is part of AIOU’s efforts to make education more accessible through digital services and remote learning facilities.
Student Support at Regional Offices
Vice Chancellor Nasir Mahmood has directed all 53 regional offices to establish Student Facilitation Desks ahead of the admission period.
These desks will assist applicants with the online admission process and provide guidance where needed. In addition, free computer and internet access will be available at selected centers to support students who do not have digital facilities.
Focus on Accessibility and Digital Learning
The university said these measures aim to simplify the admission process and improve access to education, particularly for students in remote areas. The initiative also reflects AIOU’s continued shift toward modern, technology-based learning and student support services.
