Karachi’s Rs. 1.47 Billion Flyover Set to Open to Traffic Next Week

The Azeempura Flyover project in Karachi has been completed and is expected to open for traffic within the next week, according to Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab.

During a late-night inspection of the site, the mayor said the project had been completed within the 100-day target set by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. He added that the main construction work is finished, while minor finishing touches are still in progress.

He confirmed that the remaining work will be completed soon, after which the flyover will be fully operational for motorists.

According to officials, the new flyover is designed to improve traffic flow between Shahrah-e-Bhutto and Jinnah International Airport. It is expected to reduce congestion on busy routes and make daily travel more efficient for commuters.

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation says the project is part of broader efforts to upgrade the city’s infrastructure and address long-standing traffic management issues.
