Security forces have killed 21 terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in North Waziristan over the past 72 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR said the operations were carried out in the Miranshah area and surrounding regions of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Multiple suspected locations were targeted during the coordinated actions.

The military’s media wing added that several individuals described as key figures were among those killed during the operations. It stated that these individuals were involved in various attacks targeting security forces and civilians.

ISPR further noted that a total of 48 suspected terrorists have been killed in recent operations conducted over a span of several days in the region.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered during the operations, and follow-up clearance activities are ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats.

The statement said that counter-terrorism efforts will continue under the national security framework aimed at addressing militancy in affected areas.

Security measures in North Waziristan have been tightened in recent weeks, with ongoing operations in several parts of the district.
