SECP Introduces Rs. 1.5 Million Islamic Financing for Women Entrepreneurs

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved a new digital financing initiative designed to support women entrepreneurs and strengthen financial inclusion across the country.

Under the scheme named “Khud Mukhtar Khatoon,” women-led businesses will be able to access asset financing ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 1.5 million. The funds can be used for purchasing machinery, equipment, and other business-related assets.

The financing product is fully digital and Shariah-compliant. Applicants will be able to apply through the “Hakeem” mobile application, with repayment structured in equal monthly installments over a one-year period.

Focus on Financial Inclusion

The SECP stated that improving women’s access to finance and promoting entrepreneurial independence remains a key priority.
