Saudi Airlines Opens New Office in Peshawar to Enhance Passenger Services

Saudi Airlines has opened a new office in Peshawar to improve travel services for passengers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly those traveling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj, Umrah, employment, and other purposes.

The office was officially inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malkiy during a ceremony attended by Saudi airline officials, embassy representatives, travel agents, and members of the local business community.

Speaking at the event, Governor Kundi said the new office would make travel arrangements more convenient for residents of the province, noting that thousands of people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa travel to Saudi Arabia every year for religious pilgrimages and work opportunities.

He also emphasized the need for direct flights from Peshawar to Jeddah, Madinah, and Riyadh, saying such routes would provide greater convenience for travelers from the region.

The governor further expressed hope for the establishment of a Saudi consulate in Peshawar to facilitate visa processing and consular services for local residents.

Highlighting the strong relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Governor Kundi said the two countries share long-standing ties based on mutual cooperation and friendship. He added that expanding business and trade links could further strengthen bilateral economic relations.

Earlier, Ambassador Al-Malkiy visited the Governor’s House, where discussions focused on bilateral cooperation and areas of mutual interest. The governor also briefed the ambassador on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s natural resources, hydropower potential, and the historical significance of Peshawar as a center of the ancient Gandhara civilization.

Ambassador Al-Malkiy thanked the provincial government for its warm hospitality and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to maintaining strong and friendly relations with Pakistan.

The opening of the new Saudi Airlines office is expected to improve customer support and travel services for passengers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while strengthening connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
