Security Forces Conduct Intelligence-Based Operations in Balochistan, 10 Militants Killed
Pakistan’s security forces carried out multiple intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan’s Surab and Mastung districts, resulting in the deaths of 10 suspected militants and the arrest of two female suicide bombing suspects, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Operations Conducted in Surab and Mastung
According to the ISPR, the operations were launched as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts aimed at disrupting militant networks and improving security in the region.
During the operations:
- Seven suspected militants were killed in Surab.
- Three suspected militants were killed in Mastung.
- Two female suicide bombing suspects and an alleged facilitator were taken into custody during the Mastung operation.
Weapons and Explosives Recovered
The military said security personnel recovered weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the locations targeted during the operations.
Authorities added that clearance and search operations are continuing in the surrounding areas to ensure no remaining threats are present.
Counterterrorism Operations Continue
According to the ISPR, the operations are part of Pakistan’s broader counterterrorism campaign being conducted under the National Action Plan and the Azm-e-Istehkam strategy.
The military stated that security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue intelligence-based operations to maintain peace and strengthen security across the country.

The latest operations come amid ongoing security efforts in Balochistan following several militant attacks reported in recent weeks. Authorities say counterterrorism operations are continuing in affected areas to enhance public safety and prevent future incidents.
