Gold Price Falls Below Rs. 460,000 Per Tola in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan declined further on Monday, following a drop in international bullion prices.
According to rates issued by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 2,700 per tola to Rs. 457,536.
The price of 10-gram gold also decreased by Rs. 2,315, settling at Rs. 392,263.
The latest decline came after gold prices dropped by Rs. 100 on Saturday, when one tola of 24-karat gold closed at Rs. 460,236.
International Gold Prices Also Decline
In the international market, gold fell by $27 per ounce to $4,350, contributing to the decline in domestic gold prices.
International gold prices were also pressured by a stronger US dollar and profit-taking after the metal recently reached a one-week high.
Silver Price Remains Unchanged
Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable in Pakistan.
The price of silver stood at Rs. 7,100 per tola, with no change reported during Monday’s trading session.
Gold prices in Pakistan generally respond to movements in international bullion markets, along with exchange-rate changes and local market conditions.
