Pakistani Rupee Extends Winning Streak Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee continued its positive performance against the US dollar on Tuesday, marking its 250th consecutive trading day of gains.
According to market data, the rupee closed at around Rs277.12 per US dollar, strengthening by nearly 3 paisas during the day.
The local currency has maintained its upward trend against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Rupee Gains Against Major Currencies
The Pakistani currency also strengthened against several other major currencies during Tuesday’s trading session.
The rupee gained approximately:
- 95 paisas against the British pound
- 93 paisas against the Australian dollar
- Rs1.18 against the euro
- 56 paisas against the Canadian dollar
- 2 paisas against the Saudi riyal
The rupee remained broadly stable against the UAE dirham.
