Six Terrorists Killed in Balochistan’s Kachhi Operation
QUETTA: Six terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Sanni area of Kachhi district, Balochistan, security sources said on Thursday.
According to state-run Radio Pakistan, the operation was conducted against militants identified by the authorities as affiliated with Fitna al Hindustan.
Security sources said the militants were targeted with the help of quadcopters during the operation. A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the site, according to the report.
A clearance operation was continuing in the area to check for any remaining militant presence, the sources said.
The operation was reported as part of Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism efforts under the country’s broader security framework.
Security forces have continued intelligence-based operations in Balochistan in recent weeks following a number of security incidents across the province.
Authorities have said that such operations are aimed at locating militant networks, recovering weapons and preventing further attacks.
The latest operation in Kachhi comes amid continued security activity in Balochistan, where law enforcement agencies have been conducting operations against armed groups.
