Petrol Price Rises for Fourth Consecutive Day

The federal government has increased the price of petrol for the fourth consecutive day, while the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced.

According to the latest fuel price update issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), petrol has become Rs. 1.19 per litre more expensive, taking its price to Rs. 394.83 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs. 1.91 per litre and now stands at Rs. 395.85 per litre.

A day earlier, petrol was increased by Rs. 0.88 per litre to Rs. 393.64, while diesel was reduced by Rs. 1.88 per litre to Rs. 397.76.

The latest revision continues the trend of frequent changes in fuel prices since the introduction of daily adjustments.

Since daily fuel price revisions began, petrol has recorded an overall increase of Rs. 83.52 per litre, while the price of diesel has risen by Rs. 72.55 per litre.

The petrol price stood at Rs. 387.40 per litre on September 30 before moving to Rs. 390.66 on October 1, Rs. 392.76 on October 2 and Rs. 393.64 on October 5.

Despite the latest increase, diesel prices have continued to decline in recent days. The price fell from Rs. 399.64 per litre on October 2 to Rs. 397.76 on October 5 and further to Rs. 395.85 on October 6.
