Babusar Top Road Temporarily Closed for All Traffic Due to Snow Clearance Work

Authorities have temporarily closed the Babusar Top road for all types of traffic until June 6 as clearance operations continue in the area.

According to an official travel advisory, ongoing snowfall and difficult weather conditions have slowed down restoration work along the route connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Heavy snow and glacier deposits remain at multiple points on the road, requiring additional time and machinery to ensure safe passage for travelers.

The National Highway Authority (NHA), in coordination with local administration, is carrying out snow and debris removal operations to restore safe travel conditions as soon as possible.

Officials had previously allowed limited one-way traffic on the route; however, all movement has now been suspended until further notice to ensure safety during ongoing clearance work.

Authorities have advised travelers to avoid non-essential travel in the region and to follow official updates before planning any journey.

The reopening of the road will depend on weather conditions and the completion of clearance operations in the affected areas.
