The Balochistan government has launched a new personalized vehicle registration number plate scheme under the direction of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, allowing vehicle owners to choose custom registration numbers.
Under the initiative, applicants will be able to select number plates featuring their names, initials, or preferred combinations of letters and numbers.
Officials said the scheme includes two categories. The Platinum category offers premium personalized numbers for Rs5 million, while the Corporate category is designed for businesses and organizations, with fees ranging between Rs500,000 and Rs1 million.
Examples shared in official promotional material include combinations such as “KAKAR 1”, “SIBI 1”, and “LEHRI 1”, highlighting the customization options available under the program.
The scheme is open to all vehicle owners in the province and is intended to modernize the registration system while also generating additional revenue for the provincial government.
Applications can be submitted online through the provincial excise department, with registrations open until 30 June 2026. Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to improve administrative efficiency and upgrade transport-related services in Balochistan.
