Lahore: Over 1,700 vehicles found registered under a single owner amid e-challan crackdown

Lahore Traffic Police have intensified their action against e-challan defaulters and uncovered a case involving more than 1,700 vehicles registered under the name of a single individual with outstanding traffic fines.

According to officials, the discovery was made during an enforcement operation when traffic wardens stopped a motorcycle and reviewed its registration details. The check revealed that a large number of motorcycles, rickshaws, and other vehicles were linked to one owner identified as Muhammad Jamshed.

Authorities said the 1,743 vehicles were involved in 2,295 traffic violations, resulting in unpaid fines totaling over Rs. 2.82 million.

The motorcycle stopped during the operation was impounded and shifted to a police station for further action. The case has also been referred to relevant authorities for verification and legal proceedings.

The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore directed enforcement teams to continue strict monitoring of e-challan defaulters and ensure compliance with traffic laws across the city.

Officials reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy is being implemented against repeated violations and unpaid fines, and warned that legal action will be taken against offenders.
