Canada Captain Alphonso Davies Returns to National Team Camp During Recovery
Canadian national team captain Alphonso Davies has rejoined the squad as preparations continue for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, although his return to competitive action remains uncertain.
Davies recently suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Bayern Munich and is currently continuing his rehabilitation program under the supervision of medical staff.
The defender was present on the sidelines as Canada secured a 2-0 victory over Uzbekistan in an international friendly in Edmonton, Alberta. Before the match, Davies participated in light training activities, including running exercises, as part of his recovery process.
Speaking about his return to the national team environment, Davies expressed his happiness at being back with his teammates and supporting the squad both on and off the field while working toward full fitness.
The 25-year-old defender was included in Canada’s 26-player World Cup squad and remains focused on his recovery. However, no official timeline has been provided regarding his return to match action.
