Daanish Schools Approve New Quota for Bangladeshi Students

The Board of Governors of the Daanish Schools Authority has approved a new student quota for children from Bangladesh and also decided to increase the existing admission quota for students from Balochistan.

The decision was made during a board meeting chaired by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.

New Quota to Begin Next Academic Year

According to an official statement, the special quota for Bangladeshi students will be introduced from the next academic year. Officials said the initiative has been approved following directions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Existing Special Quota Continues

During the meeting, officials shared that around 1,100 students from other provinces are currently studying in Daanish Schools under the existing special quota system.

The board also welcomed two Daanish School students who achieved top positions in the recent Matric examinations. The students participated in the meeting and shared suggestions on various educational matters.

Student Achievements Highlighted

The meeting was informed that:

  • Around 3,460 Daanish School graduates are serving in different professional fields.
  • 110 students are pursuing higher education at Beaconhouse University through full scholarships.

Focus on Technology and Student Development

Officials also highlighted several ongoing initiatives, including:

  • Introduction of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based curriculum for students in Grades 6 to 9.
  • Programs aimed at improving students’ social and life skills.
  • Establishment of 16 daycare centres at Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence.
  • Digital monitoring of 71,000 newly planted trees to track plantation progress and environmental initiatives.

The latest measures are part of ongoing efforts to expand educational opportunities and strengthen student development across the Daanish Schools network.
