Elon Musk’s Daughter Vivian Wilson Stars in New Anti-AI Campaign
Elon Musk’s daughter Vivian Wilson has appeared in a new fashion campaign that takes a critical look at artificial intelligence and its growing influence on creative industries.
The 22-year-old transgender model and activist is featured in Spanish fashion label Desigual’s autumn campaign, titled “Born to Disobey.” The campaign promotes a message of independence and resistance to technology-driven changes.
Humanoid Robot Featured in Campaign
The promotional video includes a malfunctioning humanoid robot named DESI 84, whose appearance bears similarities to Tesla’s Optimus robot.
In several scenes, Wilson interacts with the robot in unusual ways. She uses it as a golf tee, walks it on a leash and attempts to teach it words. However, the robot repeatedly fails when asked to perform tasks beyond its programming.
The advertisement concludes with the robot repeatedly hitting its head against a wall while Wilson delivers the line: “Some things aren’t meant to be fixed.”
Campaign Raises Questions About AI
According to the campaign’s message, the concept focuses on rejecting systems that people do not want to become part of. It presents rebellion as choosing not to participate rather than simply challenging established structures.
Speaking about the campaign, Wilson said she wanted to raise concerns about the impact of AI on creative professionals. She argued that artificial intelligence could reduce opportunities for talented artists and other creatives while also creating environmental concerns.
Speculation About Elon Musk Connection
The advertisement does not directly mention Elon Musk or Tesla. However, the use of a humanoid robot resembling Tesla’s Optimus has led to speculation that the campaign could also be interpreted as a personal reference to Wilson’s father.
Musk has invested heavily in artificial intelligence and robotics through companies and projects including xAI’s Grok and Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot.
Wilson and Musk have had a publicly reported strained relationship, adding further interest to the campaign among viewers.
The humanoid character featured in the advertisement was portrayed by a human performer, with its robotic appearance created digitally during post-production.
The campaign has since attracted attention online for combining fashion, social commentary and criticism of the rapidly expanding role of artificial intelligence.
