Faisalabad Receives Anti-Smog Guns to Help Control Air Pollution

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has provided two anti-smog guns to Faisalabad as part of ongoing efforts to reduce air pollution ahead of the upcoming smog season.

The machines were inaugurated at the Deputy Commissioner Office Complex by EPA Director General Imran Hamid Sheikh.

Focus on Smog Reduction Measures

During the event, the University of Faisalabad and the EPA also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote research on air pollution control and environmental protection.

Officials briefed participants on different strategies being adopted to reduce smog levels in the city.

How Anti-Smog Guns Work

According to EPA officials, similar equipment has previously been used in Lahore. The anti-smog guns spray a fine mist of water at pollution-affected areas, helping to settle dust and reduce airborne particles.

This process is aimed at improving air quality in high-pollution zones.

Government Efforts

EPA officials stated that the Punjab government is continuing efforts to improve environmental conditions by using modern technology and preventive measures to tackle smog and pollution more effectively.
