Field Marshal Asim Munir Reaffirms Commitment to Fight Against Terrorism
Syed Asim Munir said Pakistan’s fight against terrorism will continue with full national resolve until lasting peace and stability are achieved across the country.
The remarks were made during an investiture ceremony held at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.
During the ceremony, the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff conferred military awards on officers and soldiers of the armed forces in recognition of bravery during operations and distinguished services to the nation.
According to ISPR, the honours included 50 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) awards and 12 Tamgha-i-Basalat medals. Families of martyrs received posthumous awards on behalf of fallen personnel.
Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the armed forces, describing them as the pride of the nation. He said their sacrifices remain a symbol of dedication and commitment to Pakistan’s security and stability.
He also praised the courage and resilience shown by the families of martyrs, acknowledging their continued sacrifices and support for the country.
The military leadership reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and strengthening national security through ongoing efforts against terrorism.
