FIFA Launches Official World Cup 2026 Mobile Game for Netflix Subscribers

FIFA has announced the launch of its new football video game, FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, which is scheduled to be released on June 11 alongside the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The game will be available to Netflix subscribers at no additional cost, regardless of their subscription plan. The release marks FIFA’s latest step into the gaming industry following the conclusion of its long-standing collaboration with EA Sports.

According to FIFA, the game will feature all 48 national teams participating in the 2026 tournament, along with the competition’s 16 official stadiums and a roster of more than 1,200 players. The title aims to provide fans with an officially licensed World Cup gaming experience.

One of the game’s notable features is its accessibility. Players will be able to use their smartphones as controllers while connecting the game to a television through the Netflix app. Both single-player and local multiplayer modes will be supported, allowing up to four players to participate together.

The project has been developed by Delphi Interactive in collaboration with Netflix Games. FIFA says the game is designed to be easy to access and enjoyable for a broad audience.

The “Launch Edition” name suggests that FIFA may introduce additional gaming projects in the future as part of its evolving digital entertainment strategy. The organization has previously indicated plans to work with multiple partners and platforms to expand its presence in the gaming sector.
