Free Nikah and Marriage Registration Facility Launched at Asan Khidmat Markaz Islamabad
A free Marriage Registration Lounge has been set up at the Pakistan Asan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad to provide citizens with a more convenient and organized environment for Nikah and marriage registration services.
According to officials from the National Information Technology Board (NITB), the initiative has been introduced under the government’s efforts to improve access to essential public services and reduce the financial burden on citizens.
One-Window Facility for Marriage Registration
The newly established lounge allows couples to complete their Nikah and marriage registration process in a single location without any service charges. The facility is designed to offer a structured and comfortable setting for registration procedures.
Officials said that representatives from relevant departments, including the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and NADRA, are present at the center to ensure that all legal and administrative formalities are completed efficiently.
Once the Nikah ceremony is performed and registered at the facility, the marriage record is processed and forwarded to the relevant government departments for official documentation.
Support for Low-Income Families
The initiative is aimed particularly at supporting low-income families in Islamabad who may face high costs when arranging marriage-related services at private venues.
By providing a free and centralized service, authorities hope to make the registration process more accessible and reduce unnecessary expenses.
