Gold Prices Fall Sharply in Pakistan Amid Decline in Global Market
Gold prices recorded a significant decrease in Pakistan on Friday, following a decline in international bullion rates.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 14,900, settling at Rs. 438,036. The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs. 13,410 to Rs. 374,205.
The downward trend in local gold prices came after international gold rates fell by $149 per ounce, reaching $4,156.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved lower during the session. The price of silver per tola declined by Rs. 413, closing at Rs. 6,946.
Market analysts attribute fluctuations in precious metal prices to changes in global economic conditions, investor sentiment, and movements in international commodity markets.
