Veterinary experts said overcrowded conditions and keeping healthy animals alongside sick livestock are contributing to the spread of diseases.

They also warned citizens against feeding animals unsuitable foods such as burgers, pizza, bread, and watermelon instead of proper fodder and animal feed.

Experts advised buyers to carefully inspect animals before purchase, especially checking for ticks around the ears and body.

Hospital management said free treatment facilities, medicines, and ambulance services for animals are available around the clock to help livestock owners during the Eid season.
