Lahore Traffic Plan Announced for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal Processions
Lahore Traffic Police has issued a special traffic management plan for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal processions scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
The plan includes traffic diversions, alternative routes and designated parking arrangements to help manage traffic and facilitate citizens attending religious gatherings.
Traffic Diversions in Lahore
According to the traffic advisory, vehicles approaching procession routes from different parts of the city will be diverted to alternative roads during the event.
Motorists travelling from Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road and surrounding areas will be directed toward alternate routes to help reduce congestion.
Traffic coming from Shahdara, Ravi Road and nearby areas will also be managed through designated diversion points.
Similarly, vehicles approaching from Azadi Chowk, Circular Road and connected routes will be redirected where necessary during procession timings.
Traffic authorities will also maintain dedicated arrangements for emergency vehicles and other essential movements.
Parking Arrangements
Citizens attending the processions have been advised to use designated parking areas and avoid leaving vehicles along procession routes.
Traffic Police said keeping procession routes clear will help ensure smoother movement for participants, motorists and emergency services.
