Trump blasts Netanyahu over Israel’s plans to attack Beirut, says ‘everybody hates Israel’

US President Donald Trump has reportedly criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a recent phone call, urging restraint amid rising tensions involving Israel and Lebanon.

According to a report by Axios, the discussion focused on Israel’s military operations and concerns over possible strikes on Beirut as tensions with Hezbollah escalated.

US officials cited in the report said Trump pushed for a ceasefire and expressed concern over the humanitarian impact of continued military action in Lebanon. He also warned that further escalation could increase Israel’s international isolation.

During the call, Trump reportedly expressed frustration over Israel’s recent actions and emphasised the need for diplomatic solutions. Officials also said he raised concerns about civilian casualties and the broader regional impact of the conflict.

The report added that Washington is continuing efforts to support a ceasefire arrangement linked to broader regional stability discussions.

Neither the White House nor Israeli officials have released a detailed public statement confirming the contents of the call.
