Lahore Traffic Police Seize Motorcycle Over Rs. 100,000 in Unpaid E-Challans
The Lahore Traffic Police have impounded a motorcycle after discovering that its rider had accumulated Rs. 100,000 in unpaid e-challans for repeated traffic violations.
According to traffic police officials, Traffic Inspector Nadeem Ullah stopped the motorcyclist during a routine inspection in the Nawankot area and reviewed the rider’s e-challan record.
The inspection revealed that the motorcyclist had 50 outstanding e-challans, with unpaid fines totaling Rs. 100,000.
Police said the majority of the violations were issued for riding without wearing a helmet. Despite receiving multiple traffic tickets, the rider reportedly continued using the motorcycle without clearing the outstanding fines.
After verifying the pending challans, traffic police impounded the motorcycle and shifted it to the Nawankot Police Station for further legal proceedings.
The Lahore Traffic Police have advised motorcyclists to follow traffic regulations, wear helmets for their safety, and pay outstanding e-challans on time to avoid enforcement action.
Authorities said they will continue taking action against repeat traffic offenders as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and encourage compliance with traffic laws.
