Motorway M-Tag Use to Become Mandatory from June 15, 2026

Authorities have announced that the use of M-Tags will be mandatory for all vehicles traveling on Pakistan’s motorways starting June 15, 2026. Motorists are advised to ensure their M-Tag registration is completed in advance to avoid any inconvenience during travel.

According to an advisory issued by One Network, drivers are encouraged to update or register their M-Tags ahead of the deadline to ensure smooth and uninterrupted access to motorway facilities.

The company had earlier informed users about the replacement of older M-Tags. As per the notification, M-Tags older than five years were eligible for free replacement until May 31, 2026. After this date, a replacement fee of Rs. 150 has been applied.

In addition, officials have warned that M-Tags older than five years may be blocked from July 1, 2026 if not updated in time. After this deadline, motorists will need to pay Rs. 300 for replacement issuance.

Drivers are advised to complete necessary updates on time to avoid penalties and ensure hassle-free motorway travel.
