Pakistan Advance to CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship Final, Set to Face Bangladesh

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continued their impressive unbeaten run in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Volleyball Championship, defeating Sri Lanka in straight sets to secure a place in the tournament final.

The hosts will now face Bangladesh in the championship match after Bangladesh defeated Uzbekistan in the other semi-final.

Pakistan Dominate Semi-Final

Pakistan delivered a confident performance against Sri Lanka, winning the match 3-0.

The home side claimed the opening set 25-18, followed by a commanding 25-10 victory in the second set. Sri Lanka responded with a stronger challenge in the third set, but Pakistan maintained control to seal the match 25-21 and book their place in the final.

Strong serving, effective blocking, and consistent attacking play helped Pakistan remain unbeaten in the competition.

Bangladesh Reach First CAVA Final

Bangladesh qualified for the tournament final after defeating Uzbekistan by 3-0 in the second semi-final.

The winning side took the sets 25-21, 25-20, and 25-19, producing a disciplined performance to earn a place in the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship final for the first time.

Uzbekistan will now compete in the bronze medal match.

Kazakhstan Finish Fifth

Earlier in the tournament, Kazakhstan secured fifth place with a 3-0 victory over Nepal.

Kazakhstan won the match 25-16, 26-24, and 25-20, overcoming a determined challenge from Nepal, particularly in the closely contested second set.

Championship Final

The tournament now concludes with an exciting final between Pakistan and Bangladesh, where both teams will compete for the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship title.
