Pakistan Increases Jet Fuel Price Amid Fuel Levy Adjustments

ISLAMABAD — The price of jet fuel in Pakistan has been increased following a revision in petroleum product rates, according to an official notification issued by authorities.

The price of aviation turbine fuel has been raised by Rs12.32 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs295.84 per litre, up from the previous Rs283.52 per litre.

In addition to the jet fuel adjustment, the government has also revised petroleum levies on key fuel products as part of its latest pricing review.

The levy on high-speed diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs8 per litre, rising from Rs44.59 to Rs53.26 per litre. However, the levy on petrol has been reduced by Rs9.24 per litre.

Officials stated that the revised levy structure will remain in effect for one week, after which it may be reviewed again.

The changes are part of the government’s routine adjustment of fuel prices and taxation in response to global market trends and domestic economic conditions.

Impact on Transport Sector

Analysts suggest that the increase in jet fuel and diesel-related costs may affect aviation and transportation expenses. At the same time, the reduction in petrol levy could offer some relief to consumers.
