Islamabad, July 6, 2026: The Government of Pakistan has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Indian men’s volleyball team to participate in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Volleyball Championship 2026, scheduled to be held in Islamabad from July 22 to July 29.

The move is expected to facilitate the participation of all member nations in one of the largest international volleyball tournaments hosted by Pakistan.

Pakistan Confirms NOC Issuance

Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) Chairman Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob confirmed that the required NOC has been issued and the relevant authorities in India have been informed.

He expressed hope that the Indian team would complete the remaining approval process and travel to Islamabad for the tournament.

According to Yaqoob, the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) had requested political clearance and a security assurance letter from Pakistan, which were required to obtain approval from the Indian government and complete visa formalities.

Coordination Between Volleyball Federations

The PVF chairman said both the Pakistan and Indian volleyball federations remained in contact throughout the process to facilitate the team’s participation.

He added that all necessary organizational, logistical, and security arrangements for the championship have been finalized in coordination with the relevant government departments and security agencies.

Pakistan is preparing to host all participating teams according to international event management and security standards.
