Pakistani All-Rounder Faheem Ashraf Joins Yorkshire for T20 Blast
Pakistan’s all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has signed with Yorkshire County Cricket Club as an overseas replacement ahead of the upcoming English T20 Vitality Blast season.
He replaces injured Australian all-rounder Will Sutherland and is expected to be available for the full group stage of the competition, along with selected matches in the County Championship.
Faheem Ashraf brings significant international experience to the squad, having represented Pakistan in multiple formats of the game, including Test matches and T20 Internationals.
He was also part of Islamabad United during the recent Pakistan Super League season, where he reached an important career milestone by becoming one of the few all-rounders in league history to achieve both 1,000 runs and 100 wickets.
Speaking about his move, Ashraf expressed excitement about joining Yorkshire and highlighted the club’s strong reputation and playing environment.
Yorkshire’s cricket management also welcomed the signing, describing him as a valuable addition due to his ability to contribute with both bat and ball in the shortest format of the game.
The deal adds to the growing list of Pakistani players participating in county cricket, with several cricketers continuing to feature in England’s domestic T20 competitions.
