PCB Begins Process to Appoint New Batting Coach for National Team
The Pakistan Cricket Board (Pakistan Cricket Board) has officially started the search for a new batting coach for the men’s national team, issuing an advertisement for the vacant position.
According to details released by the board, the appointment will be made for the national side’s white-ball setup, as part of efforts to strengthen batting performance in upcoming international series.
Eligibility Criteria Set for Applicants
The PCB has outlined clear requirements for candidates applying for the role. Applicants must hold at least a Level 2 coaching qualification and have a minimum of five years’ experience in batting coaching.
Interested candidates have been instructed to submit their applications through the official PCB website before the deadline of June 7.
Coaching Transition Ahead of Upcoming Series
Sources indicate that the new appointment will primarily support Pakistan’s white-ball cricket team structure.
Current batting coach Hanif Malik is expected to complete his tenure following the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia.
The series is scheduled to begin on May 30 in Rawalpindi, with the remaining matches set to be played in Lahore on June 2 and June 4.
Officials have confirmed that the coach is currently serving his notice period after deciding to step down from the role a few weeks ago.
