ICC Announces Revised Schedule and Venues for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

In a major update ahead of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially revised the tournament’s schedule and venues. Navi Mumbai will now replace Bengaluru after safety concerns forced the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium to be dropped.

The tournament, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2, 2025, will proceed on its original dates. The reshuffle comes after recent security concerns in Bengaluru, ensuring smooth logistics and fan safety.

Importantly, Pakistan’s group stage matches remain unchanged. The Women in Green will face:

  • India on October 5 in Colombo

  • Australia on October 8 in Colombo

  • England on October 15 in Colombo

The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai is set to host five matches, including the second semi-final and possibly the grand final. The tournament opener between India and Sri Lanka will now take place in Guwahati on September 30, while Colombo continues as a key venue for high-profile clashes and one semi-final.
