PCB Issues NOCs to 14 Pakistani Cricketers for Overseas Franchise Leagues

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to 14 Pakistani cricketers, allowing them to participate in overseas franchise tournaments scheduled to take place later this month.

The approved players include Mohammad Haris, Shahab Khan, Mohammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafique, Farhan Yousaf, Shamyl Hussain, Mehran Mumtaz, Usman Khan, Ali Shabbir, Mohammad Farooq, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Basit, Khalil Ahmed, and one additional player approved under the latest list released by the PCB.

Players Set for Global Super League

The players have received NOCs to participate in the 2026 Global Super League (GSL), which will be held at Providence Stadium from July 23 to August 1.

The five-team tournament will feature:

  • Lahore Qalandars
  • Perth Scorchers
  • Desert Vipers
  • San Francisco Unicorns
  • Guyana Amazon Warriors

Lahore Qalandars’ Match Schedule

Lahore Qalandars will begin their campaign against Perth Scorchers on July 23, followed by matches against Desert Vipers on July 24, Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 26, and San Francisco Unicorns on July 29.

Among the players granted NOCs, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Naeem, and Mohammad Farooq are set to represent Lahore Qalandars in the tournament.

The franchises for the remaining Pakistani players have not yet been officially confirmed.

NOC Issued for Caribbean Premier League

Separately, the PCB has also issued an NOC to Maaz Sadaqat, allowing him to participate in the Caribbean Premier League.

The 2026 CPL season is scheduled to run from August 7 to September 20 across the Caribbean and will feature seven teams competing for the championship.

By issuing these NOCs, the PCB continues to support Pakistani cricketers in gaining international franchise cricket experience while showcasing their talent on the global stage.
