Key Details of the Notification
  • Minimum Monthly Wage: Rs. 40,000 for 26 working days.

  • Daily Wage: Rs. 1,538.46 for an eight-hour shift.

  • Hourly Wage: Rs. 192.31.

The notification applies to adult and adolescent workers employed in all industrial and commercial establishments across the province.

Employers may deduct certain allowances, but only with the mutual consent of the worker, including:

  • Rs. 100 per meal for food,

  • Rs. 1,800 per month for transport,

  • Rs. 2,000 per month for accommodation.

The government clarified that if employees are already receiving higher wages, those cannot be reduced under this order. Employers are also free to pay higher salaries based on skills, experience, and performance.
