RDA Completes Faizabad Interchange Slip Road Upgrade to Improve Traffic Flow
RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has completed the rehabilitation of the Faizabad Interchange slip road, along with the installation of new traffic signboards, as part of efforts to improve traffic management and enhance road safety.
The completed project was inaugurated by Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Punjab and Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Raja Hanif Advocate, who commended the RDA for completing the work within the approved timeframe while maintaining construction quality.
Project Completed Within Schedule
According to officials, the RDA launched the rehabilitation project on March 6, 2026, with an approved budget of Rs. 15.49 million.
The authority has now completed the construction work and officially handed over the upgraded road for public use.
Improved Traffic Management
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Raja Hanif said the rehabilitated slip road and newly installed traffic signs are expected to improve traffic flow, enhance road safety, and make travel more convenient for commuters using the Faizabad Interchange.
He added that better signage will also help drivers navigate the area more efficiently.
Focus on Urban Infrastructure
Raja Hanif reaffirmed the Punjab government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure through development projects that enhance transportation networks and public services.
The Faizabad Interchange upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure in Rawalpindi and provide safer, more efficient travel for residents and daily commuters.
