Sindh Restores Normal Business Hours for Markets and Restaurants
The Sindh government has officially lifted restrictions on business operating hours, allowing markets, shopping centers, hotels, and restaurants across the province to return to normal timings.
According to an official notification, the earlier time restrictions introduced under an austerity measure have now expired. As a result, commercial activities in Karachi and other parts of Sindh will continue as per regular schedules.
Business activity returns to normal
With the new directive, shops, markets, malls, and food outlets are once again allowed to operate according to their standard daily timings. Authorities stated that the decision aims to support business activity and improve economic flow in the province.
Business owners and traders are expected to benefit from the relaxation, especially in busy commercial areas where extended operating hours help increase customer access.
Similar relief measures in other provinces
In a related development, Punjab has also relaxed earlier timing restrictions for markets, shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants for a limited period.
Officials say such measures are part of broader efforts to balance economic activity with administrative and energy-related policies.
Economic impact
The easing of restrictions is expected to provide relief to the business community and improve overall commercial activity, particularly in urban centers where retail and hospitality sectors play a key role in the local economy.
