Teams Confirmed for FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Division B in Bangkok
The FIBA Regional Office-Asia has confirmed the eight participating teams for the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Division B, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand from July 13 to 19.
The tournament will feature emerging national teams from across Asia and the Pacific, competing for promotion opportunities and development experience at the youth international level.
Group A Teams
Group A includes Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Oman.
Group B Teams
Group B features Samoa, Cook Islands, Lebanon, and Kazakhstan.
Indonesia will make their debut in Division B after competing in Division A in the previous edition of the competition. India will also aim to strengthen their position as they continue to develop their youth women’s basketball program and target a return to the top division.
Host nation Thailand will compete on home soil and look to use local conditions to their advantage in pursuit of a strong tournament run.
Lebanon and Samoa, both strong performers in the previous Division B edition, return with hopes of improving on past results and challenging for promotion.
Kazakhstan also returns to the competition, while the Cook Islands and Oman will be making their first appearance at this level.
The tournament will serve as an important platform for young players to gain international experience and showcase their talent on the Asian basketball stage.
