Tecno Pova 8 Introduced With Large 8,000mAh Battery and New Rear Display Feature
Tecno has introduced its latest smartphone, the Tecno Pova 8, featuring a large battery, upgraded performance features, and a new rear design element inspired by modern notification displays. The device has not yet been officially launched in Pakistan, but it is expected to arrive in the local market based on previous Pova series availability.
Design and Display
The Tecno Pova 8 features a redesigned rear camera module with a triangular layout. While it appears to have multiple lenses, the phone includes a single functional rear camera, with additional design elements used for aesthetics and display purposes.
A key highlight is the new “Alive Matrix Display,” a small dot-matrix style screen integrated into the rear module. It can show basic information such as time and charging status.
The device will be available in several color options, including Arc White, Graphite Black, Helios Orange, and Echo Green.
On the front, it features a 6.76-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also supports a high touch sampling rate for smoother responsiveness.
The phone carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and light water splashes.
Performance and Software
The Tecno Pova 8 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The device includes an advanced cooling system designed to maintain stable performance during gaming and heavy usage. Tecno claims the phone can support smooth gameplay in popular mobile titles.
It runs on HiOS based on Android 16.
Cameras
The smartphone features a single 50MP rear camera using a Sony sensor, while the additional rear cutouts are part of the design and display system. On the front, it includes a 13MP selfie camera.
Battery and Charging
One of the major highlights of the Tecno Pova 8 is its 8,000mAh battery. According to the company, the battery is designed for long-lasting usage and can last up to two days on a single charge under typical conditions.
The device supports 45W fast charging and also includes reverse charging support.
Expected Price in Pakistan
The Tecno Pova 8 has not yet been officially priced for Pakistan. However, based on previous models and international pricing trends, it is expected to fall in the range of approximately Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 85,000, depending on taxes and variant.
