The federal government has announced a significant reduction in petroleum product prices, effective from June 20, 2026.

According to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 74 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs. 299.78 per litre from the previous Rs. 373.78 per litre.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs. 67 per litre. The new diesel rate has been set at Rs. 311.56 per litre, compared to the earlier price of Rs. 378.56 per litre.

The revised prices came into effect at 12:00 AM on June 20, 2026.

This follows an earlier reduction announced on June 12, when petrol prices were lowered by Rs. 4 per litre and diesel prices by Rs. 2 per litre.

The latest adjustment is expected to provide relief to consumers and businesses by reducing transportation and fuel-related costs.
