Thunder Defeat Spurs 122-113 to Level Western Conference Finals

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered a strong performance with 30 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the San Antonio Spurs 122-113 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

After a quiet showing in the opening game, Gilgeous-Alexander bounced back to help Oklahoma City level the series. Alex Caruso contributed 17 points off the bench, while Chet Holmgren added 13 points for the Thunder.

Reserve players also played a major role in the victory, with Jared McCain and Cason Wallace scoring 12 points each. Oklahoma City dominated in bench scoring and capitalized on turnovers throughout the game.

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault praised his team’s improved performance and energy following the Game 1 loss.

For the Spurs, Stephon Castle scored 25 points, while Devin Vassell added 22. Victor Wembanyama recorded an impressive all-around performance with 21 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, and four blocks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said the team understood the importance of the game and entered with strong energy from the opening minutes.

Game 3 of the series will now shift to San Antonio on Friday.
