Trayvon Bromell Defeats Noah Lyles to Win 100m at Paris Diamond League

American sprinter Trayvon Bromell delivered an impressive performance to win the men’s 100 meters at the Paris Diamond League, finishing ahead of Olympic champion Noah Lyles.
Running from lane eight, Bromell crossed the finish line in 9.91 seconds, securing one of his biggest victories of the season. Lyles, who entered the race as one of the favorites, was unable to recover after a slow start and finished behind his fellow American.
After the race, Lyles acknowledged that his start affected his performance.
“The feeling at the start was not what I expected,” he said.
Audrey Werro Sets Diamond League Record
Switzerland’s Audrey Werro continued her outstanding form in the women’s 800 meters by claiming victory in a Diamond League record time of 1 minute 53.80 seconds.
The remarkable run is the third-fastest women’s 800m performance in history and moves Werro closer to the long-standing world record of 1:53.28, set by Jarmila Kratochvilova in 1983.
Femke Bol, who has transitioned from the 400m hurdles to the 800m, finished second with a personal best of 1:55.60, continuing her successful move to the middle-distance event.
Botswana’s Kebinatshipi Breaks Meet Record in 400m
Botswana’s world champion Busang Collen Kebinatshipi also produced a standout performance in Paris by winning the men’s 400 meters.
Kebinatshipi timed his finish perfectly to clock 43.54 seconds, setting both a meet record and a Diamond League record.
The Paris Diamond League featured several world-class performances as athletes continued their preparations for the major international championships later this season.
