Ugreen AP16 Slim Portable Monitor Launches With 2.5K 165Hz Display for $264
Ugreen has launched its new portable monitor, the AP16, in China, offering a high-refresh-rate display in a slim and lightweight design at a price of around $264.
Display and Performance
The AP16 features a 16-inch IPS display supplied by BOE with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 (2.5K) and a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing more vertical workspace compared to standard widescreen monitors.
It also supports a 165Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for smooth gaming visuals and fast-motion content.
According to the company, the display offers up to 500 nits brightness, a 1200:1 contrast ratio, and full 100% sRGB color coverage. It also supports 10-bit color (8-bit + FRC) for improved color depth and accuracy.
The monitor is factory-calibrated with a Delta E value under 2, ensuring more precise color reproduction, and carries TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification for eye comfort during long usage sessions.
Design and Portability
The Ugreen AP16 features a slim metal body measuring just 6.5mm thick and weighing around 928 grams, making it highly portable for laptop users and mobile professionals.
Instead of a built-in stand, it comes with a magnetic stand that supports both landscape and portrait modes, along with adjustable viewing angles.
Connectivity and Compatibility
The monitor includes two full-function USB-C ports and one Mini HDMI port, with USB-C also supporting pass-through charging.
It is compatible with a wide range of devices, including MacBooks, Windows laptops, iPads, smartphones, gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, as well as handheld gaming devices.
The AP16 also includes dual stereo speakers for basic audio output, making it a complete portable display solution for work and entertainment.
