Shaheens to chase win on last day of second four-day match against Bangladesh A

Mohammad Ali shone brightly for Pakistan on the third day, taking six wickets to put the Pakistan Shaheens in a strong position against Bangladesh in their second four-day match.

As they head into the final day, the Shaheens need 160 more runs with six wickets in hand to secure victory.

Day three concluded with the Shaheens posting 136 runs for the loss of four wickets, with captain Sahibzada Farhan leading the charge with a brilliant half-century.

The day began with Bangladesh resuming their innings at 84-3, but they were quickly bowled out for 216 runs, thanks to the impressive bowling performance by the Shaheens. Mahmudul Hasan Joy top-scored for Bangladesh with 65 runs, supported by Afif Hossain’s 58. Mohammad Ali was the standout bowler, claiming six wickets for 63 runs, while Khurram Shehzad added three wickets to his tally.

Chasing the target, Pakistan Shaheens started strong with a 96-run partnership between Farhan and Haseebullah. Farhan scored a rapid 68 runs off 70 balls, including ten fours and two sixes. However, after his dismissal, Kamran Ghulam and Umar Amin were both out for ducks, and Irfan Khan added 15 runs before losing his wicket.

The day ended with Haseebullah (44 not out) and Tayyab Tahir (4 not out) at the crease.
