Pakistani Rupee Strengthens Against Major Currencies
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its positive trend against the US dollar on Monday, marking its 225th consecutive trading session of gains against the greenback.
According to the latest exchange-rate data, the rupee closed at Rs277.55 per US dollar, gaining around one paisa during the session.
The PKR has maintained its upward trend against the US dollar since December 25, 2025.
Rupee Performance Against Other Currencies
The local currency also recorded gains against several major currencies.
The rupee strengthened by approximately 87 paisas against the euro and 32 paisas against the British pound. It also gained around Rs1.27 against the Canadian dollar.
Meanwhile, the rupee remained almost unchanged against the Saudi riyal and gained a small amount against the UAE dirham.

The rupee’s performance varied across international currencies, with the strongest gain recorded against the Canadian dollar, while the local currency saw a modest decline against the Australian dollar.
