Pakistan to Tour Bangladesh for T20I Series in July; West Indies Tour Follows

The Pakistan men’s cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh in July 2025 for a three-match T20I series, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expected to officially confirm the schedule next week, according to media reports.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I Series – Proposed Schedule

As per the tentative itinerary shared by the BCB with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the matches are scheduled for:

  • July 20

  • July 22

  • July 24

All three games will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

This short-format series falls outside the ICC’s Future Tours Programme (FTP) and was arranged following recent discussions between PCB and BCB officials during meetings on the sidelines of planning for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, co-hosted by Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

Recent History and New Leadership

Bangladesh, led by Litton Das, recently visited Pakistan for a T20I series, where they were clean-swept 3–0 by the home team. That series marked the debut assignment for Mike Hesson as Pakistan’s new white-ball head coach and Salman Ali Agha as the new T20I captain.

The upcoming Bangladesh tour is seen as an opportunity for both teams to test their squads ahead of major global tournaments.

Pakistan’s West Indies Tour to Follow in Late July

After wrapping up their tour of Bangladesh, Pakistan will head to the Caribbean and the United States for a T20I series against the West Indies.

T20I Series – Confirmed Dates:

  • July 31 (USA)

  • August 2 (USA)

  • August 3 (USA)

ODI Series (Tentative):

  • August 8, 10, and 12

  • Venue: Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad (pending confirmation)

Reports suggest that the ODI leg may be replaced by additional T20Is as both boards are aligning their focus on preparations for:

  • 2025 ACC Men’s Asia Cup

  • 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

Discussions between PCB and Cricket West Indies (CWI) are ongoing, and final announcements on the format and match venues are expected soon.

Key Takeaways:

  • Pakistan to play 3 T20Is in Bangladesh (July 20, 22, 24)

  • All matches at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka

  • Followed by 3 T20Is in USA vs West Indies (July 31 to August 3)

  • ODI series in Trinidad under review; may be converted to T20Is

Cricket fans can expect a thrilling run of T20 action as Pakistan’s busy white-ball schedule continues through the summer.
