SECP Registers DIGI Insurance Limited as Pakistan’s New Digital-Only Insurer
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has officially registered DIGI Insurance Limited, paving the way for a new digital-only non-life insurance provider in the country.
Pakistan Embraces Digital Insurance Innovation
As per S.R.O. 1335(I)/2025 issued on July 26, the SECP confirmed that DIGI Insurance Limited is now licensed to operate exclusively as a non-life digital insurance company, under the provisions of the Insurance Ordinance, 2000 and Insurance Rules, 2017.
DIGI Insurance Limited is authorized to offer a wide range of non-life insurance services under:

Sub-clause (i) – Fire and Property Damage

Sub-clause (ii) – Marine, Aviation, and Transport

Sub-clause (vii) – Miscellaneous Insurance

Sub-clause (viii) – Health Insurance

Sub-clause (ix) – Agriculture Insurance
This approval became effective July 22, 2025, and the company must operate within the conditions specified in its registration certificate.
